Growing up, one of the friends that Iggy is based on owned a Sega Genesis, while I always grew up in a Nintendo home. Much like literally everyone else at that time, we often went back and forth about which company's hardware was superior. It would be Genesis vs SNES or Game Gear vs Game Boy (which we also each owned). Ultimately we'd still spend each sleepover having fun playing a console one of us didn't own, even if we'd just spent an hour earlier that day trash-talking it.
